18th Century Massachusetts Walnut Highboy

A typical Eastern Massachusetts Example

Nicely proportioned at 71 1/4″ high with a 36″ upper case width, this walnut fronted highboy has maple sides and white pine secondary. The brasses are later, of excellent quality in the original holes. The drawer side runners are mostly refreshed and there are no major restorations or noted repairs. The drop finials are old, but likely not original. The mixed woods are not atypical of eastern Massachusetts highboys.
