Western American Watercolor by Ernest Tonk

Measuring 13 ” x 18 ½” sight, matted and mounted in a  walnut  frame, this watercolor is a classic example of the meticulous work of Ernest Tonk (1889-1968). On the advice of Buffalo Bill, Tonk went west and experienced the west first hand as a wrangler and cowboy. He settled in Glendale, CA in 1923.
